Most products within the rack
industry are clear-cut. You look at a
rack shelf and you immediately know its purpose. Nothing could be further from the truth when
looking at the 2-piece and 4-piece conversion kits. At first glance, you might see two oddly
shaped feet. Or you might envision the map of Italy and start craving delicious
culinary treasures like pasta and pizza. (WARNING: These products are not edible.)
But regardless of what comes to mind, this will hopefully help you understand
conversion kits and their purpose.
Conversion kits can be used for a
number of different purposes. But there
are two very important uses I would like to tell you about. The first is anchoring a 2-post rack to the
wall. Installing a ground anchor kit is
not always possible in certain buildings. Reasons could be due to the historical significance of the building, the
expense of the floor materials or maybe just personal preference. For these scenarios and several others, the 2-piece
and 4 piece conversion kits are a great solution to anchor any 2-Post or Relay Rack to the wall. By
securing the rack to the wall, you limit the risk of the rack tipping over. When it comes to moving or replacing the
rack, the conversion kits will also help keep repair costs low because patching
holes typically costs significantly less than removing anchors.
Finally, I’d like to cover one of
the most popular uses of the 4-piece conversion kit. Existing 2-post rack solutions are not always
feasible in the long-term. Equipment is
constantly changing and evolving, and typically as companies grow and become
larger, so does their rack footprint. The
4-piece conversion kit can upgrade any 2-post rack to a 4-post rack with an
adjustable depth of 24 – 40”. This makes the rack more durable and able to last
for years to come.
At Kendall Howard, we are here to solve your
problems and provide you with successful solutions. With just these two
products alone, you have multiple options to add durability and longevity to
your rack. Or maybe I’ve just had you thinking about pizza this entire time and
it’s now time to order lunch.
