Don't get in over your head!

Like most of you, I’ve used technology for most of my life. It started with the Apple 2C computer that had a giant floppy drive with 8 MB (which was extremely fast back then.) It has now advanced to touchscreen tablets and cell phones that have 128 gigs of storage, fit in your pocket, and can operate for 24 hours without needing a charge. Technology changes faster than most of us can keep up with. There is always something new being designed to make your job easier, make us more efficient, and increase productivity. And as technology changes, it changes the way we do things – not just with the devices used, but the equipment and components installed too. But often the one thing that tends to be forgotten is changing or upgrading your work space. You know, that Zen environment that brings out your inner genius. The place where you build it, program it, monitor it, fix it, and go to in order to develop the next best thing. (Or play Candy Crush or Pet Rescue when you need a break from it all.)

By having technical furniture that can adapt based on a specific task or adapt with new technology, this can help you improve your process and overall productivity. Just like the right environment, the right technical furniture will create a work space that is both functional and inviting.

Kendall Howard Performance Series® LAN Stations/Workbenches are designed to be modular and can adapt to suit any application. They are top of the line in quality and versatility, and are one of the strongest benches on the market today. Every Performance Series® accessory that is available today will work on any of our LAN Stations...including the first bench ever sold more than 10 years ago.

When configuring your work space, here are the basic rules to keep in mind to help you through the process:

  • For every 24” of space under the work surface, you can mount one accessory.
  • The Accessory Bar is a great add-on and is used to mount monitors and power strips above the work surface.
  • Performance Series® accessories give you the ability to create the workstation that works for you.
  • The Racking System can only be installed in the 200 and 300 series workbenches.
  • Remember to pick your color!

Now that we’ve reviewed what to remember when configuring a workbench, let’s think about when and where you’d use them. Here are just some of the ways people use Performance Series® LAN Stations/Workbenches in today’s world:

  • Tech bench
  • Assembly
  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Shipping stations
  • Security monitoring stations
  • Call centers
  • Classrooms
  • Video editing stations
  • Computer labs
  • Trader desks
  • And many more options!

And now that you’ve taken the time to read this, please do one more thing for us. Take a look around your office…does it look like or feel like what you see on the right? No matter your response, let us show you a more organized and more efficient alternative to that chaos. All you have to do is contact us and you’re on your way to an improved solution!
