Principal Responsibilities
- Kendall Howard has a position for a Purchasing Clerk to start immediately. This position is responsible for researching, analyzing, and negotiating pricing to cost-effectively acquire quality materials and equipment for Kendall Howard. This position is required to place purchase orders and ensure the facility receives delivery of materials in a timely matter that meets customer work order requirements and maintain appropriate stock inventory levels.
Desired Qualifications
General Responsibilities
- Qualify and determine which vendors provide the greatest value regarding price, quality and on time delivery
- Track and report metrics to production planning team
- Place and manage purchase orders, keeping delivery dates in line with Organizational deadlines
- Confirm expected ship and delivery dates with vendors
- Maintain knowledge and proficiency in all aspects of the material management system as well as working knowledge of finance practices and procedures that interface with the material management system
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate material handling, delivery, and distribution of material products
- Work with the finance department in relation to supplier information, cost analysis, purchase orders, and resolving invoicing issues
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in purchasing or procurement within the manufacturing industry
- College degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Finance, or similar disciplines preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Outrageously Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Self-directed and able to prioritize work independently
- Strong computer skills, software knowledge (MS Office)
- A good working knowledge of the Microsoft 360 platform preferred
