We are seeking an experienced hands-on Controller who can oversee all finance and accounting functions and serve as a key member of the leadership team.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities:
  • • Oversee all month-end activities, including all month-end inventory functions (inventory adjustments, reporting, inventory closeouts, etc.)
  • • Oversee payroll, ensuring payroll tax compliance
  • • Responsible for ACA compliance and reporting and 401(k) administration
  • • Finalize monthly/annual financial statements; interpret, present, and distribute reports to appropriate parties
  • • Submit company taxes (income, property) as required
  • • Coordinate year end reporting documents with CPA firm
  • • Responsible for the yearly 1099 processing and reporting
  • • Ensuring compliance with government required reporting (e.g., sales & use tax)
  • • Process any government census requests
  • • Serve as liaison to banking and financial institutions, including coordinating all financing arrangements with lenders for capital investments
  • • Enter and monitor job costing
  • • Create and monitor financial budgets
  • • Position reports directly to President/Owner

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience, CPA license not required but preferred
  • Minimum 3 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Intimate knowledge of cost accounting and cost layering
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Self-directed and able to prioritize work independently
  • Strong computer skills, software knowledge (MS Office)
  • Experience with Visual Infor software preferred
