Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for routine and preventative maintenance of machines, equipment, and the facility. This position is responsible for installing, prepping, repairing, and maintaining production/manufacturing equipment and machinery, including inspecting equipment for proper functioning, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and making repairs as needed.
Principal Responsibilities
- 1. Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of complex production equipment during machine service
- 2. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of complex production equipment, including diagnoses, repair, and testing
- 3. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
- 4. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- 5. Performs maintenance and repairs on plant facility and general areas of the physical building
- 6. Detects faulty operations and defective material; reports those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
- 7. Works with management to improve and maintain machine and facility performance
- 8. Coordinate with outside service providers where required
- 9. Follow all safety procedures and policies without exception
** The ideal candidate needs 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience. Preferred experience with LVD, AMDA, Salvagnini, or BLM machines. **
